It is considered to be one of the best greek cheeses and it has been listed as a PDO cheese since 1996.
It has a slightly spicy but elegant flavor in addition to a buttery smell. Pale, under color cheese, hard to the touch. It consists of either sheep or goat milk and is matured for at least 3 months before consumption.
Try it as a snack, sliced, grated or as a tasty cooking ingredient.

-wheel 8.5kg, half wheel 4,25kg, ¼ wheel 2,125kg, ⅛ wheel 1kg, and in vacuum packs of fixed weight of 200gr.
