Wild herbs, usually collected from mountains, are used to enhance myriad dishes as well as to brew speciality teas and infusions – the majority of which are intended as natural remedies. Wild herbs were an integral part of Hippocratic medicine . Many essential extracts of these herbs are still used in modern medicine today.
